My Mission

The mission at High Time Design is to design and implement a website that best fits your business needs, at a very fair price. We serve clients in need of personal, informational, and promotional website designs with e-commerce where needed. After assessing your requirements,  if we think we are a good fit and can truly help your business, we can work together to accomplish your web design goals.

My Business Philosophy

As a small business owner with two websites, I fully understands that your bottom line is important. I believe in working with my clients to jointly decide on the best web solution for your individual business and budget. Each business has specific needs and its website must be designed with your customer demographics in mind. I do not use website templates to build your site or pages. Every business and its owner is unique -- your website should reflect that.

Effective website design requires a combination of skills, disciplines and expertise. My full-service approach can save you the added time and expense of discovering the missing pieces and hiring multiple companies to finish the job.

I also believe in good old-fashioned customer service. I will not load my schedule with more projects than I can handle. I will treat your business with the care and quality you expect and provide as much personal service and attention as your budget allows. Each project, whether it's a new website, a re-styled site, or a writing project is treated as a top priority. And, if I feel someone else is better able to help you, I will tell you so.

Sally Van Nuys, designer and artist

Sally Van Nuys, is the designer and owner of High Time Design -- a small business, working for small business. Her first web design was for her own fiber art website. That site has evolved and grown over the years, and during that time, Sally has also grown as a website designer. She has researched, studied and learned valuable lessons about solid web design practices, search engine optimization and submissions, as well as how web design and web copy writing have the same impact as their paper counterparts.

Knowing how to effectively build a website that is easy-to-follow and looks good is not an innate talent. As a technical writer and editor, Sally spent many years studying and practicing good writing and information design principles, as well as conducting interviews with test subjects while they used computer-based products. She has extensive experience in writing and designing for computer instruction and the web. As an artist, Sally studied and taught color theory and design, and the visual perceptions that color and design convey to people.

 Understanding the audience (your website visitors), who will come to and use your site, is key. Sally can ensure that your customers will easily navigate every page of your website and quickly find what they came for. When visitors enjoy browsing your site, they will come back again - repeat business and happy customers for you! Each website is unique in its needs and must be designed with specific customer demographics in mind.  Knowing how to speak their language, answer their questions, and guide them along is of utmost importance.

Now, putting it all together, Sally offers you solid her writing skills, artistic designs, and the technical elements required to help your customers enjoy and effectively use your site. It's a complete skill set that will ultimately help you succeed.

As an e-commerce website owner, Sally understands what your goals are, what your needs are, and she can anticipate many of your customers' surfing habits. She will draw on her talents as a writer and designer to either improve your existing website, or create a new website designed especially for your business, products, or message.
